Michael F. Fried

Michael F. Fried is a Partner of Axelrod LLP with a twenty-year history of delivering premiere legal services to clients -- and achieving successful outcomes. Mr. Fried has extensive experience representing clients in disputes with health insurance companies. He has worked on sophisticated cases against those companies that resulted in settlements valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Prior to joining Axelrod LLP, Mr. Fried practiced law at two of the largest law firms in New Jersey, and served as General Counsel for a publicly traded company. He has litigated insurance, commercial, partnership, and employment law cases in both State (New York and New Jersey) and Federal courts. Mr. Fried has represented physicians in transactional matters, and he has handled securities, corporate, and real estate law matters.

Two further examples of Mr. Fried’s work: he second-chaired a May 2017 jury trial in a RICO class action venued in the District of Colorado, which resulted in an $8+ million jury verdict for the parties he represented. He also worked on a shareholder derivative claims case in the Eastern District of Virginia that resulted in a $12 million settlement for the parties he represented.

Mr. Fried attended the The George Washington University Law School. He is a member of the Bars of New York and New Jersey, and he is admitted to the District of New Jersey, the Southern District of New York, the District of Colorado, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
